Recarta help IBM V7000 over the touch-line at the RFU.

The (RFU) Rugby Football Union is the national governing body for grassroots and elite rugby in England, with 1,900 autonomous rugby clubs in its membership. In addition the RFU employs approximately 500 paid staff and helps to train and support up to 40,000 volunteers.

Recarta IT was introduced into the RFU because of the many years of experience it has gained in working in virtualised environments. The RFU were in need of additional storage to support a new Intel platform running Microsoft Hyper-V.

In short Matt Bartlett was brilliant and Toby was upset that he didn’t get to drop kick the V7000 over the posts at the new stand end of Twickenham. Asked to comment on his new IBM win, Toby said – IBM is a pain in the arse to deal with so next time can you call us direct and cut out the middle man!!
