What is IBM Servicepac?
IBM ServicePac is a simple and cost-effective way to purchase support on your systems. ServicePac is offered in a range of fixed predefined Warranty Upgrade, Post Warranty and Remote Technical Support options. ServicePac are produced to meet a wide range of client support needs and is available for the following IBM platforms;
- System p
- System i
- System x
- BladeCenter
- Retail PoS
- Storage
- IntelliStation
- OpenPower
IBM ServicePac is particularly suited to customers who know the level of cover they require, who want the full backing of the manufacturer at a competitive price and simplicity in buying and registering for the service.
The IBM ServicePac options include:
- A range of 1, 2 ,3 ,4, or 5 years support packages which run from the date of system purchase
- A range of different hours of coverage - from 9 x 5 to 24 x 7 cover.
- A range of repair service levels - from Next Business Day to Same Business Day on-site.
IBM have the following ServicePac options for Remote Technical and Software Support:
- 90 day startup support on System x
- 180 day startup support on System x and BladeCenter
- Remote Technical Support for System x (1 and 3 year options)
- Remote Technical Support for BladeCenter
- Support Line for VMware (1 and 3 year options)
- Support Line for MS Windows or Linux on System x (1 and 3 year options)
- Support Line for Linux
- IBM Director (and selected programs such as RDM)
